Job Description

DUTIES:

Provides foundational qPCR technical and Sales Training.

Utilizes product and application knowledge across the genetic analysis portfolio to successfully apply consultative and strategic selling presentations.

Understands customer goals, priorities, and challenges such that Applied Biosystems and Life Technologies Solutions expands qPCR consumables mindshare and value-add.

Consistently and accurately manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking.

Orchestrates resources and personally engages key customers for the benefit of the qPCR consumable business.

Develops and maintains deep current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices.

Capitalizes on local marketing innovations to expand programs within the designated territory.

Provides internal partners with business planning and development consulting to ensure effective strategies.

Reviews marketing campaigns and plans to ensure accurate positioning and description of qPCR products.

Uses the tools, processes, and operational resources to improve and advance direct and indirect sales of designated qPCR products.

Collaborates effectively with partners across Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. to obtain sponsorship and support, resolve issues, and expedite selling.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field of study plus 1 year in Life Science Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Technical Research, or related experience.

Must have experience or knowledge of:

Lab experience using qPCR methods;

Equipment sales experience selling into the qPCR workflow;

Inside Sales experience including method development and demonstrated technical and scientific knowledge of life sciences;

Customer escalation resolution;

Monitoring and reporting on KPIs;

Direct and indirect sales to customers within the territory.

Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel required. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
